Question:
“I am receiving some form of RPC Error”
Answer:
1. Please visit https://chainlist.org/
2. Go to the search bar that says “Search Networks” and enter “Cronos”.
3. A card will popup that says “Cronos Mainnet Beta” and there will be a down arrow.
4. Click the down arrow
5. Select an RPC that has a Green dot in the Score.
Question:
“I didn’t give out my seed phrase but my CRN get’s stolen/taken from my wallet”
Answer:
If you never handed out your seed phrase, you most likely were spoofed by another website and gave them access/control of your wallet.
1. Go to https://app.unrekt.net/
2. Click the “Connect Wallet” button (yellow) in the middle of the screen.
3. Look at the list of sites that you have given permission to access your wallet
4. Click “Revoke” to remove their access
This may not be a silver bullet, but for many people it will save them from getting their wallets robbed.
Question: I can’t swap CRN to CRO (or vice versa)
Answer:
- Change gas fee to fast or instant
- Change slippage to auto
- If neither of those work then, use bogswap (https://app.bogged.finance)
Question: Why are gas fees so expensive for claiming?
Answer: Gas fees for claiming are higher in the v2 contract due to the fact that the contract has to preform 6–7 checks per node to verify rewards. The gas fee for claiming is set by the amount of nodes you have, not by the amount of unclaimed CRN you have. This is a flat rate every time you claim. This is not only algorithmically cheaper than daily claiming, but it also further incentivizes users to hold and claim after day 15+. This is to help your ROI and the health of the project. This ends up saving you money on gas fees in the long run. I hope this brings you some clarity on claiming gas fees.

Question:
Why can’t I connect to Cronodes Dapp?
Answer:
Try disconnecting from Cronodes.finance in MetaMask, update your browser and MetaMask, clear cache/cookies/history and try again. If that doesn’t work try changing RPC. If that still doesn’t work, make secondary CRONOS network in MetaMask.
Question: How is the price going to increase in value?
Answer:
With the new features of V2 being implemented we believe that the price shall rise again.
Decaying Tax: The new tax system will prevent investors from daily selling, this, in the long run, should prevent big daily sell-offs causing the price to plummet and will maintain a somewhat more stable price point.
Fee Structure: The Fees that you need to pay in order for your nodes to continue producing rewards are being collected and used for future investments but also to power the Buyback Bot!
Future Features:
Buyback Bot: The Buyback Bot will be used to maintain a certain price floor, so by paying the fees, you are indirectly helping with maintaining a potential price floor, so when it’s time to take profit you don’t have to worry about the fact that once your 15 days are over the price may have moved drastically. This gives you a bit of peace knowing there would be no need to daily sell as a potential price floor is being created.
Staking: Later on a staking incentive will be launched for CRN, this will provide CRN with more utility but may also cause people to hold on to their hard earned CRN instead of selling, but that would be up to your strategy.
Question: Having trouble minting an NFT & using a ledger?
Answer: When using a ledger, you need to enable “blind signing” by opening the ETH application on your ledger device and going to settings. You also need to go to “Display contract data details” and change this to “displayed” — this should allow you to mint the NFT. You can revert the change once you’re done.
Question: What happens to my nodes if they expire under the new contract? Answer: You would only need to pay the CRO fees due to resume your node instead of CRN. That being said our Expiry terms have changed:
◢◤ Initially after you miss your fee your are granted a 14 day grace period to pay your fees.
⭐️ Please note that you will not earn any rewards once your nodes expire ⭐️
◢◤ After the 14+ day period you will still have to pay the CRO fees, however your unclaimed CRN will be deducted by 50%
⭐️ 30–30+ days expired = You pay CRN (not CRO) fees to restart node and can collect 0% of your CRN balance ⭐
Question: “I am getting an error when trying to claim / upgrade / pay fees — what do I do?”
Answer: Please ensure that you have clicked the “Approve CRN” button.
Due to recent contract updates, you will need to approve the contract changes to proceed.
Question: “Gas fees are showing 0. What do I do?”
Answer: Reject the transaction and try again
Question: “Gas fees are showing 47.5. What do I do?”
Answer: Reject the transaction and try again. 47.5CRO is a common gas fee for error transactions.
Question: Should I upgrade my node or buy a T4 etc. outright?
Answer: Each individuals investment and situation is different. The answer really depends on your investment and your goals. Question: Why did my reactivated node only receive .945 CRN?
Answer: Since your node expired after the 15th day, it was not able to achieve the lowest tax tier either, which does not activate until the start of the 16th day. Thus the claim tax for your rewards is still 30%, not 10%, + the 50% node expiration charge leaving you with .945 CRN to claim.
Question: I am getting an error when trying to bulk pay my fees, do I have to pay them all individually?
Answer: Try doing 20 at a time instead. If your nodes have expired, you will need to reactivate them one at a time.
Question: How does node upgrading work and how do I do it?
Answer: To upgrade, you will need the following: — An active node to upgrade (cannot upgrade expired nodes) — A booster NFT in your wallet. — Enough CRN to pay the CRN difference between the node costs. — Enough CRO to cover the difference in monthly fees and gas fees. Click the “upgrade” button next to the node you would like to upgrade. This can only be done one node at a time currently. NOTE: When upgrading, any accumulated rewards will be auto claimed AT YOUR CURRENT TAX RATE. As the auto-claim takes place first, the CRN accumulated (after tax) can be used against the cost of upgrading.
Question: How to mint a NFT with the CDC Defi App?
Answer: Unfortunately you can not Mint through the CDC Defi App. You can either: 1. Create a New MM wallet address and mint it there and then send the NFT to yourself. Or 2. Import your CDC Defi Wallet seed phrase into MM and you should be able to access your funds there and Mint it.
How to Import CDC Defi to MM
- Open ‘view settings’ in CDC Defi.
- Select ‘Recovery Phrase’ in CDC Defi settings.
- Hit continue and follow the steps and write down your seed phrase. Steps 4–7 are only if you have and use MM and have it installed already
- Open MM and go to ‘Settings’
- Select security and privacy
- Scroll down and select ‘reveal secret recovery phrase’, make sure you write this one down as it is for your MM.
- Also click on ‘Show Private Key’ and write this down too.
- !!Before you do this make sure you have a backup of your seed phrase written down!! Then Uninstall and Reinstall MM.
- Select ‘Get started’
- Select ‘Import Secret Recovery Phrase’ and follow prompts using your CDC Defi seed phrase.
- Add Cronos to your MM
- Add CRN and other tokens you want to your MM
- Optional- Import your old MM Account back onto your MM by clicking the Account Icon, then click ‘Import An Account’ you will use your ‘Private Key’ from step 7.
- You can now access your CDC Defi App wallet through MM!
Question: I get a message saying “Approve CRN” — Why? And how do I do approve it?
Answer: Click on where it normally says “Buy a Node”. This is because the contract was recently updated, you need to approve it again in order to interact with it.
